What does positve thinking mean?

This letter gives us an insight of positive attitude. What does positive thinking mean?
No one can be a perfect positive thinker, or without a zero amount of negative thoughts. We are human!
Positive thinkers can learn information and hidden messages from negative thoughts sent from our subconscious mind and make maximum use of it...

3A: accept, action and appreciation

 or more detailed way:

4A: analysis, accept, appreciation of self and all resources and action
Hi donna,

We often hear that the secret to success is to think
positively or feel appreciation and gratitude.

While these are definitely powerful practices, they
can turn us against parts of ourselves that aren't
thinking and feeling that way.

As a result, we may become resistant to having
negative thoughts and feelings or try to avoid anything
that isn't sweet and rosy.

However, these resistant or avoident strategies fail to
acknowledge the reason why these thoughts and feelings
arise.  Instead of alleviating negativity, if anything,
they perpetuate it.  Today I'd like to give you different
strategy that both honors and releases us from the
negative effects of negativity.

So, it's likely that you've heard the headlines
that positive thinking and feeling boost your energy
and immune function and propel you toward all the good
things in life.  When you hear that news, it's natural to
want to only have positive thoughts and feelings.

It's natural to get a negative edge toward negativity.
It's natural to see negativity as the enemy of your
dreams and higher aspirations.  It's natural to fear it
and want to avoid it at all costs.

However, it also seems to be true that what we resist
or avoid persists.  When we resist something, we keep
it alive as something we are pushing against.  When we
avoid negativity the cause of that negativity goes
unnoticed.  It gets stored in our subconscious and
continues to wreak silent havoc there.

So if resistance and avoidance don't work, what other
strategy is possible?  Is there another way to relate
to negativity that honors its purpose and creates
deeper release and integration at the same time?

Is there a way to relate to negativity that actually uses
its energy and information in a positive way?  Is there
another way to view positive thinking and feeling that
includes negativity as a healthy and beneficial aspect
of your life?

The problem with the "headline" view of positive
thinking and feeling is that it leads you to believe
that you are supposed to try to always have only
positive thoughts and feelings.

Here's a news flash:

That's not going to happen.

You are a human being who is involved in complex
systems of relationships, events, and circumstances
that create many different appropriate states of thought
and feeling.  Things happen that have appropriate
emotional responses of anger, sadness, and fear.

When things don't go well, it's appropriate to have
"negative" thoughts about what is happening.

So called "negative" thoughts and feelings arise as
responses to what is actually happening inside and
around us.  Now, certainly, sometimes we
over-dramatize these thoughts and feelings, blow them
out of proportion, and allow them to carry us away in
actions that are damaging to ourselves and others.

However, if we shift our relationship to these
"negative" experiences, we can learn from them and
use their energy and information appropriately.

Let's redefine positive thinking and feeling as a
"positive attitude to whatever happens."  It is about
how we relate to "positive" or "negative" experiences,
events, and circumstances.  We can teach ourselves to
view each moment, thought, feeling, and experience as
informative.

Negative thoughts and feelings can be our greatest
teachers, when we view them in a positive way.

For example, if you have a negative thought such as
"I can't do that.  I'm a loser.  I have no skills
here," instead of resisting those thoughts and trying
to have a positive one instead, see if you can turn and
face those thoughts head-on. (Face it )

Ask yourself, "What is the message in this thought?"
See if you can turn the light of your awareness directly
on that "negative" thought and see what you can learn
from it.
( Analysis and reflect from the negative emotion)

When you turn and face your thought, rather than
resisting or avoiding it, you gain a different relationship
to it.  If you welcome and accept your thought and seek
"the gift" in it, you now have a new positive relationship
with it.  The thought loses its negative force and
becomes a portal of information. (Accept it as part of ourselves)

For example, the negative thoughts above could be
pointing out that, in this situation, it would be good
to learn and practice a specific skill.  If you look at
what you are not doing well head-on, without shrinking
from it, you can learn how to do things better.
(Make a right choice)

The same idea can be applied to emotions.  For example,
anger can alert you that something or someone needs
protection.  Sadness can alert you that it's time to
let go of something or someone.  Fear can alert you to
possible action that you need to take.

Any uncomfortable experience arises with information
about yourself and others and energy to do something
with that information.  Negative thoughts and feelings
alert you that something needs to be acknowledged,
learned, and/or shifted. (Transforming stage)
When you turn toward, welcome, accept, and appreciate
every thought, feeling, and sensation as a moment of
information, you gain access to that information so
you can use it effectively.  You've now gained a
positive viewpoint within a "negative" thought,
feeling, or sensation.

This is a deeper and more productive meaning of
positive thinking and feeling.  It is an empowering
attitude toward life.

Enjoy your practice!

Parenting skill

Vision, Integrety, Services and Appreciation

Dear Wah Shan,

Thanks so much for your magic treatment on our illnesses. Most of the issues of others can be reflected in my life of past. How to break out our Me status and become an unconditional love, forgiving and empathetic person is a life learning process.

Yes, what we are fearful of ultimately? What is the bottom line? Can I stand the consequence? What is the consequence of holding old beliefs? Do I really a loving, caring person? Am a responsible person? Do I master my own life? Do I really want happiness? What is happiness?

Am I living at cause or at effect

All questions are insightful, alarming calls to our life.

I am using Zero Limit and tonight section to cure my burnt finger and cold. It looks working tonight.  Amazing!

Grateful!

Ijust feel that we can be in the heaven or hell,it is all upto our mind.

這次探訪,令我找回少年期間幫助獨居老人所帶來的那和充實和喜悅。

原來令別人開心,自己更開心,今天找到另一個美麗的自已。

My first DP alumni gathering

Tonight, I went to the DP gathering the first time, meeting different classes' seniors. Queenie came afterwards. We were new blood to DP.
I was surprised to find something in common in the DP community from the game in appreciation of characters of our own.
Before DP course, I found to praise ourselves was shameful and hard to find things to appreciate. After DP, I  can find much more merits inherited from our parents and by birth. Many have the same feeling.

To my amazement, we have many beautiful characters in common, esp. in loving and caring.

I praised myself to be curious, kind and caring, open-minded, outspoken, understanding, helpful and grateful, reflective and obsessive for improving...

After DP courses, many of them found their change in terms of the following aspects:
  • people become more cheered up and loving, kinder, positive
  • more appreciate selves and responsible to themselves. No complaints at all.
  • more open-minded and peaceful to changes in life. A lady just went out from ICU and she looked so peaceful and grateful when experienced death and life just now
  • more understanding about our strength and weakness
Just feel so grateful!

I immediately dropped down all the characters I need to improve: carefulness, strong action power, calmness, fast thinking...

First mask one month ago
Second mask last night

We drew another masks in the second game:

I didn't realize the two have so many in common but a little bit difference:

From the two masks, I can feel I have more confidence to face the ever-changing world and more peaceful towards death and things I used to feel uneasy...Just embracing life...

In details:

Both showing loving side and curious side.
Both love peace and green

Interestingly, the new one looks much younger while the old one is like a Buddhist. The young one is more playful, childlike and funny.

In the previous courses, they were asked to draw two faces :inside and outside ones. inside is self at home and the other is the one to the society: subconscious self and conscious self. i was thinking that
this would be tough to me as I usually have only one side most of the time.

This is proved by the two masks: the first one was much subconscious as we had no preparation and the second one was drawn after character analysis.

Surprised to me that they are very alike in color, layout and ideas. Do my subconscious mind and conscious mind in alignment?

That means my conscious and subconscious mind are almost in alignment.

That explains I am a rather simple person, easy to be satisfied. Gratefulness and carefree character is reflected in the drawing.

Queenie's new one is so different:so joyful, lovely and brightened up. So happy for her change inside out...

 A searching for self process.

The wonder of the mask drawing was that
  • each one is unique and not repetitive next time
  • each one is a presentation of one's state of mind
  • they are ourselves intimate characters to shine our life in facing any challenge
  • a kind of art no matter how raw they might look, but pure and sweet.

Dear Athena, Maurice and Johnny and 君, your leadership was  impressive. Thanks you. Athena's mediation leading process was very inspiring to help us to embrace ourselves ...

Learning from the visit to the elderly home

Happiness is not limited to people with good health or young age. In the visit to the elderly home, we felt their happiness despite their ages (some over 100 or but some only at 50s with dementia– still happy and smiled broadly).

Happiness is a habit, according to Dr Wah Shan.

Our internal quality - source of happiess

I have realized that
1
90% of happiness and our destination are determined by our internal quality  - a happiness mindset.
The main quality includes -
Gratitude: gratitude is the fastest way to transfer negative emotion to positive. It is magic.
Respect: to respect others’ positive intention and situations
Appreciation: To praise others’ effort, quality character and success;
To think from others’ point of views even the views are in difference.
Sharing: to share life experiences esp. failure and gratitude as a habit
2
Success is not by chance but by habit. Habit is subconscious actions without thinking.
3
No fear, not limit

Reflections on Mind Reading tech - Wah Shan's workshop

Dear Wah Shan,

I was wondering what you would talk on MIND READING – a topic that I have been intrigued for a long time.

Despite the differences between my expectations and the content your present in the workshop, I got some interesting learnings from it:

I found that I can connect to my subconscious mind much faster due to my previous hypnosis study and the ongoing DP training.

In the exercise of Timeline - going back to time of our childhood, a five year-old-girl with limitless imagination, telling her made up fairy stories for hours without ending. That was a little girl of me. I recalled my dream at that time was to be a story teller or writer.

Then I recalled just two years ago, I had a stage presentation course through NLP skills – at the end, everyone presented their own stories, projects or any topics for 45 min. in English without scripts. Just like your presentation style, no notes and no power point. I realized what was possible when we speak from our heart.

As an observer last night, I paid lots of attention this time on how you harnessed hypnosis to lead us into trance. Just in very short time, you could connect to quite lots of people’s deep mind and create a pretty high state of self- reflection and soul searching. The second young man’s sharing proved again this. That is a powerful communication skill I admire and need to learn.

However, I felt sorry for people who could not get into the trance despite your huge, effort. This may be improved. Having discussed with Eugene about the workshop environment, I have some suggestions for the workshops:

1.     Although background noise is inevitable during discussion, people are quite affected by the atmosphere. I suggest we can control the lighting strength. To help people search for their soul better, perhaps the lighting could be dimmer during meditation or hypnosis processes.

2.     If visitors and coaches/listeners/observers sit in 45 degree angle, people may be engaged more easily in the rather noisy environment and have better rapport. In my  NLP and other self-development courses, trainers requested us to sit in this way. In my sales experiences,  it proves  people like to sit side by side rather opposite subconsciously.

In my opinion, one of the goals of DP courses and workshops are a discovery of our hidden potential by awaking up our subconscious power so that we can live up to our dreams effortlessly.

Grateful to know you as our mentor.

Every day is a blessing!

The insight of SILICON VALLEY - Expanding our awareness

Donna Wong < winterwong2000@gmail.com> Sun, Mar 17, 2013 at 11:37 PM
To: Eugenew Wong

Just finished listening to a BBC business on site interview documentary program on radio -The Insight of Silicon Valley - look into the future, while taking a bath.
Maybe tomorrow we can listen to it online. Now it has not yet broadcast online.
I have listened to this series for two or three years all by chance, monitoring Silicon Valley's change by accident.
What impressed me SO much is her people.
At the beginning, the reporter interviewed several foreigners from Europe and other couturiers, all showed similar vision that they came to Silicon Valley for they have ideas and they want entrepreneurs' atmosphere and environment - people here has no fear of failures as it is absolutely normal to fail and to restart. Positive thinking is an ordinary people's habit and mindset. That is the attraction of Silicon Valley for the people of all the world to go there.
People there usually have strong the team spirit, common goal and vision to change the world.
Anyone who has ideas has chance to make a contribution to the world.
If you can solve problems, money is following you. Self-made millionaire is not a dream.
Millions of people will  benefited once your products are successful.
Money is not an issue if you have good project.
Open mind, creativity and vision to change the world are their mindset to success in SILICON VALLEY.
Now there are so many projects are carried out there, for instance;
- nano carbon computer : super fast and energy saving
-future computer
- green tech is striving there
-mining on the moon with Nasa
-Cancer curing- determine to solve it in 5-6 years
-data mining...
If you have a chance to work there, that will be a life change time. If you really want, you will make it.
Who care about the politics or tax issues? Everyone is living at cause ( seeking opportunity by self not by waiting for good conditions) as all outside factors are not an issue if you have a group of people with common goals.
Good people make good future.
Today we had an experiment by doing a service. One of learnings is team work success depending on common goal and common mindset. And nothing is impossible if we think it must be done! And we made it!

I for illness and W for wellness. Think about this !

We don' have to be President Obama or Dr Wah Shan to carry enrollment power, empowerment. People receive communication via seeing your intention and action. That is  to say if we are just to be ourselves, to be responsible for our selves and to love and pay it forward without asking for return, our life will be filled with power to influence others.

Lat night it was my first time to see a visitor tearing up in front of me when she thanked her godmother for saving her life when her biological mother dumped her. When doctors announced her life would be in armchair, her godmother taught her to walk and to live independently...I was touched deeply and visualized how to use our life to influence life.

 I just realized that -
