What we learnt from Nelson's hypnosis course

Dear Nelson and lovely classmates,

The short hypnosis coursecame to an end but the beautiful, heartfelt memory will be alive in our mind for a long time.

Chris sharing makes me feel how happier we are comparing with many who are suffering in beds or worrying for food and shelters...

Charlie's sharing shows how appreciation, love and kindness can create value and synergy;
Ryan's dedication to find his goal impressed me so much and his sentimental voice will stay in our mind for a long time to come.

Venus's beautiful pyramid in the sand is an enlightenment to me to open our heart and to be grateful for what we have had. Only when our heart is pure enough and open enough, we can fill more things, learn more things and become more rich spiritually and physically. Our potential will be excelled better.

Eugene's sharing shows if we look at the positive side and look forward, negative thoughts will be minimized and confidence will be regained.

Dear all,
An article to share:
It expresses what I want to say and enlightened by Nelson's class: To take the responsibility of ourselves. To live our life at cause and live at this moment fully. The key to be happy is to live at cause.

What is stamina - Thoughts from Nelson's sharing

What is stamina?

"Stamina is the plural form of stamen. Figuratively, it means the power of endurance.

In life, stamina come in two kinds: those arising from casting pearls before ignoramus and those arising from repeated defeat. Stamina imply an ability to pick oneself up when one is down, to dust oneself off and to try and try again."

Our instructor of a hypnosis course, Nelson shared his experience of being a trainer of self-development courses by telling his reflection on what dreams means to him:

Everyone has dreams. Everyone dreams at night. But not everyone carries on his dreams during daytime. Those who dares to share their dreams with others during daytime need passions. And those who really practice their dreams day and night need preservation, (as things are not as fun and easy as expected in reality, I believe). But one's passion, interest and belief will support them to continue. Those are the source of stamina and preservation, they ultimately factor to success.

Knowledge and wisdom

To distinguish between wisdom and knowledge -

"Knowledge is often regarded as acquisition of facts, information and skills through experience and education"

Knowledge is not knowledge without sharing.

"Wisdom implies an understanding of the "cause and effect" of events or decisions taken and  reflection on events and response."

One can be knowledgeable but not wise.

Cancer prevention update from Johns Hopkins

http://healthnewsflash.blogspot.hk/2008/03/cancer-prevention-update-from-johns.html

Cancer prevention update from Johns Hopkins
Cancer Update from John Hopkins

YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

Cancer Update from John Hopkins

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow , gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9 When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened Soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become purified and leads to more toxic build up.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Florescence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing, helps to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U S - PLEASE READ

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Ed ward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Johns Hopkins

I can't wait to forward to you:

http://healthnewsflash.blogspot.hk/2008/03/cancer-prevention-update-from-johns.html

In Chinese:
Johns Hopkins

A dream

B,

Just had an intriguing dream( provocative) this morning that my subconscious mind is guiding me to find more resources on problem solving.

Main Background of the dream:
The introduction section of Hypnosis course
The film " LIFE OF PI"
Your recent ideas on your future

Learning from the above events:
1
The most essential part of NLP and its key part - Hypnosis and meditation is it facilitate us to know what human brain is doing to project so many their own realities and imaginations ( good and bad) and who we are, and why we behave and response so differently - everyone is unique but there are still many things in common; how we can make less mistake by reflection and achieving our goal much more easier /effortless by applying our most important resources - SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. probably more than half of people waste it. That makes them so poor in spiritual aspect especially.
2
Hypnosis is an advanced channel for us to connect with our spiritual world - subconscious mind and the physical world our natural part the body. In trance conditions, we can communicate with them well as they are totally naked, opening door for us to talk heart to heart. They are full of so called useful imaginations, hidden wisdom and caring, protective advices for us to digest, choose or judge, adjust. But if we don't know how to comprehend it, we may be controlled by our emotion. Turn his hidden kindness to outside life - our evil behavior.
3
Everyone has a Bangladeshi tiger in our subconscious mind, no matter knowing or not, accepting or denying. Don't let it control our mind. It can kill us.
But if we want to survive, we get to learn how to communicate with him and turn his evil energy to kindness and compassion, courage and constructive power.
4

Pi says at he end: "人生是无数的放下,遗憾的是我没有好好的道别". What I understand is Life is full of "let it go" and then move forward. But why regretting? It is probably because we don't have done proper reflection and we don't learn from lessons. "Let it go" is good, but the thing is we should not repeat mistakes. Ultimately, we have not really let it go and not accept the facts either. Life is going on but we are human, not animal, we get to fully use the "best trials and mistakes".

With the above ideas in my brain, I fell asleep and started the following vivid dream:

A boy calls me outside of a door and rings the door bell suddenly. I open the door in a hurry and find a pile of stuff on the ground, a five or six year-old boy and Luisa, our ex-helper rushing into the flat. The boy is not as handsome as Eugene at his similar age but very cute, holding a much heavier bag, heavier than his own weight probably. I am happy to see he is growing up and doesn't want other to carry his things!? I am grateful to see his graduation from a boarding school ( a kindergarten). The boy doesn't speak anything but rushes to the balcony fence wall ( a big sea view in front of us) and sit on it and later lie on it, relaxed. ( Pi and his girl friend do this on the seashore) It is crazy. But I can't speak despite that I am anxious.

Just before his fall into sleep and dropping down to the ground from 20th or more higher roof, he turns back and jumps down to the floor, smiling as nothing happens - like me, every time when I am going to fall from the edge of the bed, I can awake myself from my dreams and sleep back to the center part of the bed.

The dreams have so many metaphors. In our dreams, anyone or anything can be yourself. a shadow or image of yourself, a projection of yourself. Really or imagination mixed up. So mysterious and profound. ( What I think is whether it is reality and imagination is not important. The importance is its impact, our response and consequence)

I was moved by my dreams many times in my life. They always protect me, open up my views, help me and guide me. Thank you - my subconsciousness.

This dream is so timely to me, conveying so many massages I need to digest. But one thing I immediately realized is I need to trust my boy - he is so green like me on the first day from Polytechnic to the society but he will manage himself well. ( I knew I was so green but I was eager at that time to learn from anyone at that time and I was so happy almost all people around helped me).

So will be my son.

The Boy is like my young aged Dong Dong and she grows up afterwards via endless trials and errors. The thankful thing is she has been always curious, she is open-minded and humble to learn from others' and own experiences, bad or nice, although she is still green and young in any new phase of her life.

Curiosity, open mind attitude, audacity and never losing hope. Pi's life conveys this message, I believe in this.

Subconscious power -

  • Nelson, our Hypnosis instructor makes a good summary on NLP above. I couldn't agree more and really am appreciated for his effort.

Today I started a new short course called Hypnosis. it is a review for my NLP course. With hope to improve sleep quality and help others, to know more about self and subconscious power and impact to my and our life, I decided to throw myself into a happy and relaxation environment - subconscious learning and discovery journey.
It turned out to be extraordinary relaxing environment that I have not had for a long time, lots of questions and answers, fully interactive. I like it!

I found we human have huge potential but most of us only develop 5-10%.

Everyone has ability to solve all their problems.
Life is choice. How to make a right choice at any time?
How to be stronger and tougher and less emotional?
How to be more creative and resourceful?
How to be more compassionate, convincing and empowering to self and others?
We cannot control event but we can control our response.
All above are the purposes I need

Wisdom and knowledge

B,

Find strength everyday to build up confidence and read constructive ideas from great people to avoid getting lost:
Thoughts from Robert Kirosakyosaki
The more you go beyond yourself, the more you will become yourself;
The more you lose yourself in loving and serving others, the more you will find yourself;
The more you keep company with those who suffer, the more you will be healed.
-By Princesses Daina
When you feel helpless, help others.
Aung San Suu Kyi
Wisdom and knowledge

I found a saying that is interesting and inspiring -

To distinguish between wisdom and knowledge -

"Knowledge is often regarded as acquisition of facts, information and skills through experience and education"

"Wisdom implies an understanding of the "cause and effect" of events or decisions taken."
One can be knowledgeable without being wise.

I think one need to become wise from trying, experience and education and refection, not just knowledgeable.

Positive thinking v.s.aging

CHANGING" power.

If we have will, we have ways.
If you don't want, you have thousands of excuses.

"It's not how good you are; it's how good you want to be!" A book that I read again and again.

    2. This reminds me an research report and article on the relation between aging and positive thinking:

    http://easyhealthoptions.com/alternative-medicine/three-easy-ways-to-fight-aging-by-simply-thinking-the-right-thoughts/

    a.
In one particular study, performed at the at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), researchers found that a common form of anxiety, known as phobic anxiety, shaved off protective layers from DNA that are called telomeres.
    b
If you let cranky family members, rude cab drivers or even silly talking heads on television stress you out, you may be doing damage to your cellular DNA that is aging you faster.
    Dodge Dementia With Attitude Adjustment
Your telomeres aren’t the only part of your body that benefits from pointing your thoughts in the right direction. Your mental capacity also can fight off the effects of aging if you embrace a younger attitude.
Research at the University of Exeter in England shows that your attitude toward aging has a significant impact on your vulnerability to dementia. This study found that when seniors see themselves as older, their performance on a standard dementia screening test declines dramatically. Considering yourself as “over the hill” makes you five times more likely to meet the criteria for dementia.
The scientists studied 68 people aged between 60 and 70 years, who were primed to either feel older or younger than others taking part in the study. Those in the “older” group were told that participants ranged in age from 40 to 70, encouraging them to think of themselves as being at the older end of the age spectrum. Those in the “younger” group were told that participants’ ages ranged from 60 to 90 years, encouraging them to think of themselves at the lower end of the age spectrum.
When the participants completed a standard dementia screening test, 70 percent of people who were encouraged to see themselves as older and to believe that aging was associated with a general decline in ability met the criterion for dementia. This was compared to only 14 percent in the other groups.
In other words, these people’s relationship to brain dysfunction was altered simply by their attitude.
Exeter researcher Catherine Haslam says: “Our research shows that the effect of age perceptions on performance can be dramatic, and that seeing oneself as ‘older’ significantly increases a person’s risk of being diagnosed with dementia on such tests.”

    c.

In research at a meditative retreat, the scientists found that meditators experienced more perceived control (over one’s life and surroundings), mindfulness (being able to observe one’s experience in a nonreactive manner) and purpose in life (viewing one’s life as meaningful, worthwhile and aligned with long-term goals and values). In addition, they enjoyed decreased neuroticism, or negative emotionality.
Many experts have pointed out that the most effective pharmacy is the one located between your ears. Healthy thoughts and emotions encourage the secretion of healthy natural chemicals in your body that fight aging and boost immunity while fending off disease. Instead of drinking from the fountain of youth, try thinking from it.

Last night I went to  华山博士的"Shadow Is Power"

Last night talk onShadow is Powerby Wah Shan was an enlighting moment as my dark shadow suddenly brighten up a lot.

A real change only takes place when our darkness is touched and accessed and heart to heart talked by ourselves. A turning point will appear only when one is humble enough to face our vulnerability and denial darkness parts.

Shadow is projection of something, fears, big self-ego, greediness, hatred, anger, all negative emotions.

In a dream, you become a butterfly or a butterfly becomes you.

Take full self- responsibility first and make right choice after wake up from dreams.
Pure mind see pure things and impure mind sees impure thing.
By criticizing and complaining others is the usual behavior of denying shadow. The more denying, the more bad dreams attack you.

Facing and embracing own vulnerability is the only exit of life. This is a transformation power created by 容格 one hundred years ago.

I had a breakthrough feeling when Wah Shan applied the theory of SHADOW IS POWER to the three brave guys who dared to face and dig up their shadow in front of the audience. I start to have deeper understanding on PERCEPTION is PROJECTION and law of attraction and the relation between thoughts and reality.

Two shadows of mine creates my emotions reoccurring ...

why do i so upset by others' big ego, jealous emotion and people who tend to  reject of others' help all because of Big Self.

Practice:
How  to face shadow:
1
self searching
a / if I have some hat
ed and unforgiving issues that break your heart once in u life? Damaging effect that u cannot forgive yet.

b/ if u hate something or someone but you tend to be resemble to their behavior when u see anyone has similar  behavior to u? Tooth with tooth.

c/ jealousy
or less confidence in self

2
a/ by forgiving process: Put u foot in other shoe. or flying higher above u self and see them ,hear  them and understand their situations.

b/ by thinking what is the consequence if u behavior is like them :loss vs loss

c/ to love self  more by picking up all strength: to recall all amazing moment, most proud moment and happiest moment you have ever had in your life.

2 once we see ourselves in the shadow, we can make right or better choices and

3

I think i am not confident enough and I cannot fulfill my dreams and then I don't want to see my loved ones have the same problems. To love self is to appreciate self, dig out the strength buried in the deep subconsciousness world that we can  vividly recall them in our childhood, young ages and dreams; face self weakness and vulnerability and get connection with others so that i will not complain but to empathize instead.

Finally, we /I must take responsibility of ourselves. Always try to reach  Win - win  consequence with love and humor.
Every one is an individual with their own history, background and Character. If i want others to improve But forget  to  take care of their ego, i  will be damaging their confidence.

Suddenly i am thinking about what Wah Shan says:real love is set both free. Easy said but hard done. A life learning for  people is to learn loving self.

A beauty self from inside out : your health, wealth and happiness and success and significant life is starting from shaping this self.

I feel so proud for Wah Shan'award for his great contribution to the society , and DP. i consider myself as a half volunteer when sharing.

Thank Jonathon the coach, and Eva. J and i discussed in a rather deeper level of human character. i liked this insightful chat and learned from his improvement.

Cheer!

Purity  = Happiness = Love
let us wash away all fearful emotion and be pure and daring as a baby.

 I like WahShan saying:

Complains v.s. happiness

The less complains and more solutions on problem solving we have, the happier we will be.

When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighbouring communities and so on. When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.

Real love is to set other part free , meanwhile to learn from each other,  and grow up with each other to the end of life.

If you haven't found your direction, keep finding, never settle. ( Steve Jobs)

Her is my experiences:

If you have not found  your direction, do your best each day to well prepare yourself. There are plenty chances for people with passion to learn and to improve. The most important thing is you love learning and trying. This is the biggest strength beyond anything else.

When you do your best on improve yourself, you are already on the way to find your strength and nothing to worry about for tomorrow. Robert Kiyasaki says: Learning is not from right answers but only from making mistakes and learning from them.

LI Ka Sheng's quotes:

  1. 超卓的人,看別人的經驗,可以為自己借鑑;
    聰明的人,自己親身經歷過後,可以汲取教訓;
    普通的人,親身經歷過多次後,終於找到問題;
    愚笨的人,一錯再錯,一犯再犯,始終不知道自己到底出了什麼問題。

    找尋一個值得你學習的標的,然後把他當成競爭對手一樣分析,但不是要你去跟他競爭,而是要你想想,你要怎麼樣做才能跟他一樣贏得機會,你要怎麼樣才能做的跟他一樣好,訂好計畫,努力的實踐。

    Chris Howard says:

All learning is within subconsciousness, within a deep change. Conscious learning is short-lived and not stay long.

Go for Marathon
1-11-2012

In the nine types of character analyses, I am a person with action taking before thinking the impact or consequences. That looks risky and dangerous. But it proved to be pretty successful and brought me many unexpected outcomes, wonderful experiences and thrilling moments in my early life.

With age increases, bad experiences and so called “health limitation” have always become limited decisions in my life.

Thinking back, I didn’t image I could drive as I feel sick whenever I am on a moving vehicle. My son supported by saying he would be the first passenger when I got the license. Then I learned and I made it.

When I registered in the presentation course, I didn’t think but just take it. However I failed to participate in it because I could get the confidence in English speaking in front of people without a script. After deferring for two years, it was time to take the course as it might be the last time to have it in HK. So I was forced to take it.

In this course, there is a belief that “everyone can be a speaker.” Then we followed its belief and we made it finally after two weeks training. Everyone could speak for 45 minutes without scripts by telling a story, topic or personal experiences on stage.

“Don’t let any unhappy experience and knowledge hold you back”! Real learning is through actions, practice and making and learning from mistakes rather than writing a right answer and gets a good mark in exams. Robert Kiyosaki

This morning, when I jogged and skipped in the sun, I suddenly realized all my life experience is telling me this: only by taking actions can make life going forward. While living in unlimited limitations will waste and kill your life.
So I am going to submit form for the 10KM Marathone now! Online registration is full!

“No plan is plan to death.” (Steve Jobs)

One must have visions, missions and actions.

Turn negative to Positive by turning your view of the world

My thoughts:Emotion is normal. Some has ups and downs even in a single day when facing difficulties, setbacks physically especially.
Donna Wong If we can reflect from our deep inner world, one can find the emotion can be a signal for reviving for energy, struggling for improvement or positive desires. Face it, find resources to solve it - that is process of growth.

Just watched Eric Tseng Chi Wai’s interview by Lai Zi Shang. His humor, kindness, wisdom is beyond my imagination.

Steve JOBS, Silicon Valley, the saying on a UST post cards... “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

伟大源于谦卑和同理心;

幸福源于知足和感恩;

财富源于努力和贡献;
