The Speaking course coach sends this to us:
Try not to become a man of success but a man of value. -Albert Einstein
It is said that the secret to success is in helping others succeed. The more you help people get what they want, the more you get what you want in return.
Often times I don’t think we realize our value. The difference that we make in peoples lives every day by the small acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that we show.
Can you think back to a time when someone made a big impact on your life by doing something “small?” Perhaps it was a coach, teacher or random stranger who said or did something that made a profound impact on you…in some way it changed your course, gave you a new- found confidence or belief in what was possible. I can think of quite a few instances in my life where that happened and I am so eternally grateful for those people.
You do not have to be on a mission to change the world to be a leader and make a difference in other people’s lives. It is often times the small acts of kindness that you don’t even think about or consider to be “special” that make the biggest impact in someone’s life. You do not need to be Oprah or Tony Robbins to make a difference. You just need to step into the greatest you. When you are a person of value…becoming a “success” is a no-brainer.
Shine ON!!
